Low Pressure Area Prompts Rain Alerts Across Multiple Philippine Regions

At 3:00 PM today September 12, 2023, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued weather advisories based on the latest data regarding a Low Pressure Area (LPA) situated approximately 705 kilometers East Northeast of Basco, Batanes, or 710 kilometers East of Itbayat, Batanes (21.7°N, 128.6°E).

Simultaneously, the Southwest Monsoon continues to affect the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, prompting concerns of possible flash floods and landslides across several regions.

PAGASA will continue to provide updates as the weather situation develops. Safety should be a top priority during these conditions, and everyone is urged to remain vigilant and prepared for potential hazards associated with the LPA and Southwest Monsoon.
