The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has assured the public that there will be no fare hike for passengers who will be affected by the upcoming week-long transport strike.
According to the LTFRB, there will be rescue buses deployed on the routes of Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ) and UV Express vehicles that have a shortage of passenger vehicles. Passengers who will ride these ordinary rescue buses will be charged the same fare as that of traditional jeepneys.
For those who prefer a more comfortable ride, there will be air-conditioned rescue buses available with a fare similar to that of modern jeepneys.
Moreover, there will also be free bus rides available for passengers who may need additional transportation options.
The goal of this move is to address the public's transportation needs and to ensure that the fare charged to passengers remains reasonable.
