LTO Suspends License Of SUV Driver In Taguig Road Rage
Screengrab from viral video
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license and vehicle registration of the SUV driver implicated in a road rage incident in Taguig.

The viral video circulating on social media captured the driver berating a truck driver in the middle of C-5 road on November 24, 2023.

According to a statement from LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque Verzosa III, the SUV driver is required to submit a notarized written explanation within 90 days, justifying why penalties should not be imposed for violating three traffic rules outlined in Joint Administrative Order 2014-01 and Republic Act 4136. The violations include reckless driving, obstruction of traffic, and improper person operating a motor vehicle.

The SUV driver, a resident of Taguig City, has also been summoned to appear before the LTO-NCR office on December 4 as part of the investigation.

The SUV driver allegedly posed as a police officer during the altercation with the truck driver. However, the Philippine National Police (PNP) denied any association with the SUV driver, stating that he is not listed in their database as a police personnel.
