Magnitude 6.6 earthquake hits Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental.

A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines at 04:02 AM local time on February 24th, 2023. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 377 km south-southeast of Sarangani Island in the municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
The earthquake had a depth of 114 km, according to PHIVOLCS. The tremor was felt at different intensities in several areas, with Glan, Kiamba, and Sarangani experiencing intensity II, and Tupi, South Cotabato feeling the same.
