Majority Leader Dalipe: 'No Time For Partisan Distractions' In Lower House

In a recent statement, House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe emphasized the House of Representatives' determination to push forward with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s priority measures and the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) agenda, disregarding any partisan distractions that may hinder their progress.
Dalipe praised Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez's leadership and the rapid passage of several priority bills with multi-partisan support. He announced that the House leadership, under Romualdez, is already gearing up for President Marcos' upcoming State of the Nation Address and charting the legislative course for the 2nd regular session of the 19th Congress.
Stressing the urgency of their mandate, Dalipe pledged that the House, under Romualdez's guidance, will intensify its efforts to pass essential legislation aimed at revitalizing the country's economy and improving the lives of its citizens, particularly those in need.
Dalipe also acknowledged Romualdez's success in securing broad support for the passage of measures aligned with LEDAC's agenda. Out of the 42 measures listed by LEDAC, the House approved an impressive 33 bills, while also processing a total of 9,600 additional bills and resolutions.
"The House of Representatives will not be slowed down by premature partisanship. All these political rumblings are unnecessary distractions that will only brake our momentum in ensuring the swift passage of President Marcos' priority measures and those that were approved by LEDAC. We have a commitment to the Filipino people that we will do even better in this second regular session," Dalipe declared.
As the House prepares for President Marcos' second State of the Nation Address and awaits the proposed National Expenditure Program for the next year, Dalipe emphasized that their focus remains steadfast. With their hands full, he emphasized the House's inability to waste time on unproductive partisan disputes, prioritizing the fulfillment of their responsibilities instead.
