Didal, who gained international recognition after competing in the 2020 (2021) Tokyo Olympics, did not disclose any further details about the engagement, but expressed her gratitude towards some individuals in her post, "@divine\_msmith, @arceoriri, @dcat.studio and @kennethasprer. Didal, who hails from Cebu City, is considered one of the most prominent athletes in the Philippines. In addition to her Olympic stint, she has also won numerous competitions worldwide, including the 2018 Asian Games and the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
