Mark Leviste, the Vice Governor of Batangas, has flown all the way to the United States to surprise Kris Aquino on her birthday.

In a social media post, Leviste expressed his feelings for Aquino, writing "Made it just in time for your birthday and Valentine’s Day. It may have taken more than 7k miles to be with you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way."

Aquino replied to Leviste's post, thanking him for his efforts and clarifying their relationship as strictly platonic. "May we clarify- together physically in the same place...I appreciate all your effort (through the years) BUT please clarify that we agreed the best foundation for any & all relationships is FRIENDSHIP. I know I state with 100% accuracy, you’re my best male friend," she wrote.

Despite the clarification, Leviste's gesture was still appreciated by Aquino, who shared photos of their reunion on social media. The two were all smiles in the pictures, with Aquino thanking Leviste for being there for her on her special day. "Thank you for making time to fly to the US to surprise me on my birthday. I will treasure this friendship forever," she wrote.
