Meralco: Electricity Rates To Go Down P0.72 Per KWH

Meralco has announced a reduction in electricity rates for the month of July.
Residential customers can expect a decrease of Php 0.72 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in their electricity bills. This translates to a substantial P144 reduction in the total bill for typical residential customers.
The lowered electricity rates are primarily attributed to a decrease in the generation charge. Meralco has set the new electricity rate at Php 11.19 per kWh for residential customers who consume 200 kWh.
