In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season, Japanese head coach Taka Minowa is set to assume a pivotal role as the Director of Volleyball Operations for both the Akari Chargers and Chameleons. Minowa, credited for Nxled's stellar debut in the Second All-Filipino Conference, will spearhead the volleyball programs for the sister teams while retaining his position as the chief tactician for the Chameleons.

Filipina volleyball star Jaja Santiago's husband will continue to lead Nxled as its head coach, ensuring a consistent and experienced hand at the helm. The announcement follows the recent resignation of head coach Jorge Souza de Brito from the Chargers.

Akari revealed that the team will soon unveil the name of its interim head coach for the opening PVL conference, accompanied by the introduction of new assistant coaches for both Nxled and Akari. With these strategic changes, Akari management aims to propel the Chargers and Chameleons to new heights, eyeing a competitive edge when the PVL season kicks off in February next year.

After concluding the season-ending conference with a 5-6 record, securing seventh place, Akari Chargers are gearing up for a resurgence, while Nxled capped off their maiden stint with a 4-7 record at ninth place.
