The use of modernized jeepneys will continue at the Araneta City bus terminal in Cubao, Quezon City, according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) following a fire which hit Task Force Bravo on Thursday February 9.
The decision was reached after a joint site inspection conducted by the LTFRB and the management of the Araneta City Bus Terminal. According to the LTFRB, the terminal is in proper condition, and it was agreed that there is no need to transfer the temporary terminal.
The LTFRB and the management of the facility are confident that the terminal will be fully operational by Sunday, February 12, ensuring continuous service to passengers.
LTFRB Chairman Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III said, "The LTFRB is committed to ensuring that the operation of the terminal will not be delayed, and that service delivery to our countrymen can continue uninterrupted to their desired destinations."
