Mountain Province And Abra Declare State Of Calamity After Super Typhoon 'Egay'

The 11th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Mountain Province, chaired by Vice-Governor Francis O. Tauli, has approved the declaration of Mountain Province under a State of Calamity in response to the adverse impact of Super Typhoon "Egay" (International name: Doksuri) in the region. The declaration was made during a special session at the Session Hall, Legislative Building, SPO, on July 28, 2023. PDRRM Officer Edward C. Chumawar, Jr. was present during the session to address any queries related to the declaration.
In a related news The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRM) Council, chaired by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., passed Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 143, S. of 2023, Also declaring Abra Province under a State of Calamity. The declaration aims to facilitate necessary actions to address the damages and challenges brought about by the typhoon.
