MTRCB to Review Joey De Leon's Comment In E.A.T. Segment

In response to a surge of complaints from concerned viewers, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has announced that it will review the remarks made by Joey De Leon during the "Gimme 5: Laro ng mga Henyo" segment of the popular show "E.A.T."
During the segment, which aired on September 23, 2023, one contestant was asked to name five items that can be hung around the neck.
De Leon quipped, "Lubid. Lubid, nakakalimutan nyo.”
This prompted viewers to voice their concerns, saying that De Leon’s joke was insensitive.
In response to the public outcry, the MTRCB said that it will investigate whether the comments made during the segment are in violation of Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
