Multiple Parties Reaffirm Strong Alliance With Speaker Romualdez

Various political parties have reaffirmed their strong alliance with the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), pledging their support for the legislative agenda of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Speaker of the House of Representatives Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.
In a signing ceremony held on Monday afternoon, leaders from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), National Unity Party (NUP), Nacionalista Party (NP), Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC), Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI), Partido Navoteño, and Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) came together to reaffirm their commitment to the alliance.
The alliance agreement, signed separately by the parties, highlighted their shared vision of a strong republic and the sustainable growth and development of the regions in the country. The parties agreed to reiterate their alliance in the House of Representatives, recognizing the importance of unity and cooperation among political parties in the face of the country's challenges.
Speaker Romualdez, as President of Lakas-CMD, and other House leaders witnessed the signing of the agreement. The signatories included House Majority Leader Manuel Jose "Mannix" M. Dalipe, Palawan Rep. Jose Alvarez, Deputy Speaker and Antipolo City 1st District Rep. Roberto Puno, Romblon Lone District Rep. Eleandro Jesus F. "Budoy" Madrona, Rizal 1st District Rep. Michael John R. Duavit, Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, Navotas Lone District Rep. Tobias "Toby" Tiangco, and Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez.
The agreement stipulates that both parties will provide their full and unqualified support to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Speaker Romualdez. It also outlines their commitment to the legislative agenda of the president. The alliance agreement will remain in effect until the 19th Congress adjourns in 2025.
Speaker Romualdez expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, describing it as a clear signal of the parties' unwavering commitment to working together for the passage of President Marcos's pro-people legislative agenda. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among all political parties, especially during challenging times.
The speaker acknowledged the significant work ahead and stressed the need for collaboration to address the country's challenges and create a better future for all Filipinos. With this renewed alliance and the support of various political parties, the government aims to advance its legislative agenda and promote sustainable development in the regions.
