The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued an apology after a video featuring a "sexy dancer" surfaced on Ramon Tulfo's Facebook page.
The controversial video was accompanied by a caption criticizing the NBI's leadership under the reappointed Director, Medardo De Lemos, for failing to consider the public's reaction to the scandalous performance.
The NBI expressed remorse for inviting the "sexy dancers" to one of their activities.
Director Medardo De Lemos clarified that the performance was not part of the official command conference but rather a segment of a fellowship program.
He also emphasized that he was not present during the event, which contributed to the inability to intervene promptly.
The NBI has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine those responsible and hold them accountable for their actions.
De Lemos reassured the public that the matter is being taken seriously, and appropriate measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
During an interview or press conference, De Lemos addressed the issue, stating, "The incident involving the 'sexy dancing' occurred on June 30, immediately after the command conference of the NBI. First and foremost, we apologize for any unintentional harm caused to our women, especially considering the sensitivities and sensibilities of our society. That evening, after concluding our command conference, we organized a fellowship to foster camaraderie among our regional and national officers."
