Netizens Hit Back At Kabayan Noli De Castro For Remark On Arjo-Maine Wedding

In one Episode of TV Patrol, the topic of discussion revolved around the wedding of Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde. As the program was about to end, it was time for the hosts, including Kabayan Noli de Castro, Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano, and Henry Omaga-Diaz, to engage in closing banter.

Karen pointed out that no matter how famous someone is, it is still possible to keep their wedding a secret from the public.

However, Noli made a comment that garnered mixed reactions, saying, "While you're getting married, others are suffering from typhoons."

Karen and Bernadette seemed to gently reprimand Noli's statement with a retort: "Come on, that's not necessary."

Netizens also expressed their opinions on social media. One user, @johnpaulatienza1636, defended the couple's wedding plans, stating that the wedding was planned for a long time, and they could not have predicted the weather on that day.

Another user, @khristinakoh7489, criticized Noli de Castro's comment, deeming it uncalled for. They believed a simple congratulatory message would have sufficed and questioned why the wedding was even reported in the news.

In response to the controversy, veteran TV host and comedian Joey de Leon, formerly on Twitter, had his say, addressing those who criticized the couple's decision to get married despite potential bad weather.
