The NLEX Road Warriors have officially signed Stokley Chaffee Jr. as their new import for the upcoming 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, marking a significant change in their roster.

In a swift move, Chaffee Jr. steps into the role immediately, taking over from Thomas Robinson. The decision to part ways with Robinson, as explained by Larry Fonacier, the team manager, was a difficult but necessary one. Fonacier emphasized the team's commitment to discipline, teamwork, and shared goals, noting that Robinson's deviation from these principles led to the decision.

Stokley Chaffee Jr., a 26-year-old American hailing from Tennessee State, brings a valuable international basketball background to the NLEX Road Warriors. Having played for Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus from 2019 to 2021 and later contributing to Kobrat in Finland from 2021 to 2022, Chaffee Jr. is expected to bolster the team's performance.

Expressing his eagerness upon arriving in the country, Chaffee Jr. acknowledged the expectations placed on him both on and off the court. He stated, “I’m really happy and excited. It’s something new for me. I wouldn’t say it’s pressure, but rather high expectations. There are expectations from me not only on the court but also off the court, and, obviously, to win. I hope I can meet those expectations.”

The NLEX Road Warriors extend a warm welcome to Stokley Chaffee Jr. and anticipate an exciting and successful journey together in the upcoming PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
