No Casualties in 6.0 Masbate Quake

Masbate, Philippines -There were no reported casualties or injuries due to the 6.0 earthquake early Thursday morning.
However, as a precautionary measure,, the Masbate Provincial Hospital conducted an earthquake evacuation drill to ensure the safety of its patients and staff. The drill was conducted in accordance with the hospital's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for earthquake response.
The evacuation procedure involved moving patients out of the hospital's buildings and into the open spaces within the hospital grounds. This was done to prevent any possible harm that could result from aftershocks or structural damage to the building.
Once patients were safely evacuated, a rapid damage assessment was conducted to check the structural integrity of the hospital's buildings.
The influx of patients to the hospital is not related to the earthquake but is part of the regular hospital operations.
