In the latest weather update at 4:00 PM on December 15, 2023, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sheds light on the current weather patterns affecting different regions of the Philippines.

Northern Luzon and Central Luzon are experiencing the influence of the Northeast Monsoon, resulting in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. Fortunately, PAGASA notes that this is not expected to have any significant impact on these areas.

Meanwhile, Easterlies, coupled with localized thunderstorms, are affecting Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country. Residents can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, emphasizing the need for caution and preparedness.

The forecast extends beyond mere precipitation, addressing wind and coastal conditions. In Northern Luzon, Eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and Eastern Visayas, moderate to strong winds from the northeast are anticipated, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters ranging from 1.2 to 3.0 meters. On the flip side, the rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds from the east to northeast, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate (0.6 to 3.0 meters).
