Duterte emphasized the intention to support programs aimed at alleviating poverty and promoting the well-being of Filipino families while prioritizing unity and peace in the nation.
According to Sara Duterte, "The Office of the Vice President can only propose a budget to support the safe implementation of our programs, activities, and projects to alleviate poverty and promote the general welfare of every Filipino family. Nonetheless, we will no longer pursue the Confidential Funds. Why? Because this issue is divisive, and as the Vice President, I swore an oath to keep the country peaceful and strong."
House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe Affirms 'Uniteam' Spirit in Congress
Meanwhile, House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe asserted that the spirit of 'Uniteam' remains strong within the House of Representatives.
Despite challenges and differences, Dalipe underlined the commitment to achieving the goals of the Unity team and addressing the pressing needs of the nation.
Dalipe stated, "As far as the House members are concerned belonging to the unity, we still have the Unity team but we are focused on trying to accomplish even more of what is needed from the House of Representatives."
Dispelling rumors of political maneuvering related to the 2028 elections, Dalipe emphasized the House's dedication to passing legislation that would genuinely benefit the country.
He stressed that the focus is on the immediate needs of the nation rather than upcoming electoral events.
"As far as the House representative is concerned, we are focused on trying to pass this legislation that would really help our country. So we're not thinking about 2028," affirmed Dalipe.
