PAL, Cebu Pacific Cancel Selected Flights As Typhoon Egay Threatens Northern Luzon

In light of the Super Typhoon Egay (international name "Doksuri") that continues to pose a threat to Northern Luzon, both Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific have announced the cancellation of selected flights for the safety of their passengers.

According to PAGASA, as of 4:00 PM, the center of the typhoon's eye was located approximately 190 km east of Aparri, Cagayan. It has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near the center, with gusts reaching up to 230 km/h. The central pressure of the typhoon is measured at 925 hPa.

PAL has canceled the following domestic flights on July 25, 26, and 27, 2023:

July 25 (Tuesday)
• PR 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila
• PR 2198/2199 Manila-Laoag-Manila

July 26 (Wednesday)
• PR 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila
• PR 2196/2197 Manila-Laoag-Manila
• PR 2198/2199 Manila-Laoag-Manila
• PR 2230/2231 Cebu-Baguio-Cebu

July 27 (Thursday)
• PR 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila

Similarly, Cebu Pacific has issued an advisory on canceled flights for July 25 and 26, 2023:
