In a series of strongly-worded social media posts, Filipino comedian and television host Vice Ganda expressed his dismay with Philippine Airlines (PAL) after encountering what he perceived as a major disruption and inconvenience during his recent flight.

The star took to X to voice his frustration with the airline, particularly concerning the issue of overbooking and the subsequent downgrade of his seat.

In his initial post, Vice Ganda wrote, "Grabeng pangaabala at perwisyo ang dinulot mo sa masaya sanang trip na ito!!! Bakit kayo ganyan??? This post was followed by another, where he called PAL's service "NAPAKAPANGET" (very bad).

Pera pera?"

In response to Vice Ganda's criticism, PAL issued an official statement on social media, expressing their apology and understanding of the situation. They assured Vice Ganda that they were looking into the matter and had initiated an investigation with their Bangkok station.

In a follow-up response, PAL offered a detailed explanation of the situation, denying the flight was overbooked and stating that safety concerns led to the reassignment of Vice Ganda's seat. They mentioned the eventual return to his originally booked business class seats after alternative passengers agreed to a downgrade offer.

Vice Ganda remained adamant, asserting that the PAL staff at the counter had explicitly told him, "THE FLIGHT WAS OVERBOOKED AND MY SEAT WAS GIVEN TO ANOTHER PASSENGER."
He humorously suggested playing a game of chance among PAL's counter staff, promising a free round-trip ticket via Cathay Pacific for the winner.
