Pampanga Declares State Of Calamity Due To Egay And Falcon

In response to the devastating effects of Super Typhoon Egay and Typhoon Falcon, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan has approved the recommendation of the Pampanga Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to place the entire province of Pampanga under a State of Calamity.

According to the Provincial Information Office of Pampanga, the prolonged heavy rainfall and the resulting flooding have caused significant damage to communities, affecting 232 barangays in 15 local government units, displacing 144,340 families and 512,722 individuals, and causing damages amounting to Php 315,234,225.63 in agriculture.

The declaration aims to facilitate efficient management and recovery efforts to address the extensive damages caused by the severe weather events.
