President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., accompanied by First Lady Atty. Louise Araneta-Marcos, landed at San Francisco International Airport for the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

The delegation received a warm welcome from San Francisco government officials.

Ahead of the APEC proceedings, President Marcos is set to address the Filipino community at the San Francisco Conference Center, focusing on the government’s initiatives to enhance the well-being of Filipinos, including those overseas.

His agenda at the summit emphasizes trade and investment, green jobs, human development, and poverty alleviation.

President Marcos highlighted his commitment to engaging with Asia-Pacific economic leaders, aiming to bolster food and energy security while promoting economic inclusion for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
He underscored the importance of prioritizing the welfare of women, indigenous people, and other sectors through digitalization and innovation, aligning with sustainable development goals and climate change mitigation.

Scheduled to meet with business leaders and world dignitaries, President Marcos aims to attract investments to the Philippines and strengthen bilateral relationships.

Emphasizing the significance of APEC as a vital platform for trade and economic cooperation, he stressed its role in fostering growth and collaboration.
