President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed his support for the commercial release of the upcoming "Barbie" movie in Philippine cinemas, stating that he does not see any problem with it. The President made this statement during a chance interview while attending a series of official engagements in Northern Samar.

When asked about concerns regarding the movie's supposed depiction of a map showing China's alleged territorial claims in the South China Sea through the controversial nine-dash line, President Marcos dismissed the issue. He stated that the movie is a work of fiction and that people should not expect it to accurately represent real-world boundaries.

"Maganda raw eh, sabi nila," President Marcos said, referring to the feedback he received about the movie. His positive stance on the film's release suggests that he believes it will be well-received by the Filipino audience.

President Marcos was in Northern Samar to lead the inauguration of the Samar Pacific Coastal Road Project, a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at improving connectivity and transportation in the region. During the event, he also distributed various forms of government assistance to the local community.

Meanwhile, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has given its approval for the commercial release of Warner Bros' "Barbie" movie in the Philippines. The MTRCB's role is to review and classify films and television programs according to their content, ensuring that they adhere to appropriate standards for public viewing.
