President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. voiced his unwavering support for Vice President Sara Duterte, emphasizing that she does not deserve to face impeachment.

President Marcos made these remarks during the Kapihan with the Media on Sunday afternoon November 19, 2023 (Hawaii time), addressing concerns about reported plans to impeach the Vice President.

President Marcos stated, "Binabantayan namin nang mabuti because we don’t want her to be impeached. We don’t want her to—she does not deserve to be impeached. So, we will make sure that this is something that we will pay very close attention to."
Regarding the common occurrence of impeachment calls against high-ranking officials, President Marcos acknowledged a persistent desire for change in election results.

He expressed, "So, I guess, a continuing evolution of that thinking na basta ayaw namin diyan, tanggalin natin, i-impeach natin. Well, meron naman sigurong dahilan kung hindi lang ayaw sa amin. That’s not a reason to be impeached."

Responding to queries about potential divisions within the Uniteam, President Marcos dismissed the notion, asserting that the group is growing stronger with additional members. He highlighted ongoing political developments within the Uniteam in recent months, refuting claims of internal discord.

On a personal level, President Marcos affirmed a positive and strong relationship with Vice President Duterte. He commended her work in the Department of Education (DepEd), where she holds the position of concurrent DepEd Secretary. President Marcos shared, "I see nothing but good things about her work in the Department of Education."
