Perpetual sweeps Arellano in NCAA Men's Volleyball

In a thrilling day of action at the NCAA Season 98 men's volleyball, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA took the solo lead in the standings by sweeping Arellano University, while San Beda University claimed a four-set victory against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
The match between Perpetual and Arellano at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila saw the former dominate the court, winning in straight sets, 25-19, 25-21, 25-18. Louie Ramirez led the charge for Perpetual with 20 points, including 18 attacks and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Marapoc contributed 14 points, and Kim Tan, Anffernee Curamen, and Jasper Cabillan each added eight points apiece. The victory was Perpetual's third straight win since the start of the season, while Arellano's loss brought them down to a 2-1 record.
In the earlier match, San Beda University notched their second win of the season after defeating De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in four sets, 25-18, 25-14, 18-25, 25-21. Kenrod Umali led the Red Spikers with 22 points, including 20 attacks and two blocks, while Ralph Cabalsa added 19 points with 14 attacks and five aces.
On the Taft side, George Gauani scored 13 points. The win improved San Beda's record to 2-1, while Benilde went down to 1-2.
