Two FA-50PH aircraft of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) actively participated in the joint PH-US Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) held on November 21, 2023.

The event took place in the vicinity of Batanes and areas within the West Philippine Sea as a collaboration between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM).

The joint PH-US MCA is part of the AFP's efforts to enhance interoperability with its US counterparts and fortify regional security in collaboration with long-standing allies.

The cooperative activity, which commenced on November 21, is scheduled to run until November 23, 2023. It encompasses various strategic maneuvers and exercises aimed at improving the coordination and capabilities of both Philippine and US forces.

Beyond the involvement of the Philippine Air Force, the Maritime Cooperative Activity includes the participation of naval ships from the Philippine Navy and its US counterparts.

This comprehensive approach underscores the commitment to strengthening maritime cooperation and ensuring a robust response to shared security concerns in the region.

The Philippine Air Force has affirmed that other types of air assets will also be deployed, showcasing the diverse capabilities of the PAF in contributing to the overall success of cooperative initiatives.

By actively participating in joint activities such as the PH-US Maritime Cooperative Activity, the PAF aims to bolster the AFP's endeavors in safeguarding the country's national territory and maritime interests.
