PhilHealth Assures Members: Personal Information Secure Despite Hack

PhilHealth reassured its members that their personal information remains uncompromised and their access to benefits at accredited healthcare facilities remains intact.
PhilHealth detected an attack on their website in the early hours of September 22, 2023.
As a precaution, all access to systems, including the website, Health Care Institution (HCI) and Member Portal, and e-Claims, was disabled.
PhilHealth said they will make an effort to have their website in operation by today, September 25, 2023.
Officials maintain that no personal or medical information has been compromised or leaked as a result of the incident.
PhilHealth has engaged the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), the National Privacy Commission (NPC), the Cybercrime Units of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in going after the attackers.
