Philippine Army Mourns Fallen Heroes In Fierce Encounter With DI-MG Terrorists

The Commanding General of the Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Roy Galido, expressed deep condolences to the families of six brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during a series of encounters with Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Group (DI-MG) terrorists in Barangay Ramain, Munai, Lanao del Norte on 18 February 2024.
The fierce engagement also left four soldiers wounded, currently undergoing treatment at local hospitals and scheduled for immediate transfer to Camp Evangelista Station Hospital in Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Lt. Gen. Galido affirmed the unwavering commitment of the Philippine Army to eliminate the remaining DI-MG terrorists, emphasizing the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and security of the nation's citizens.
"As the Commanding General, I assure the families of our fallen heroes that they will be well-taken care of, and the wounded soldiers will receive the best medical care available. We are committed to providing appropriate benefits and assistance to support them during this challenging time," declared Lt. Gen. Galido.
