Philippine National Police And Armed Forces Unite In Support Of President Marcos Jr.'s Amnesty Proclamations For Insurgents And Rebels

In a unified stance, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have expressed full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s recent comprehensive peace initiatives.
The proclamations granting amnesty to rebels and insurgents are seen as a pivotal move towards national reconciliation and unity.
The PNP emphasizes that these actions, conducted within legal boundaries, prioritize public safety and play a crucial role in fostering peace and stability. "We firmly believe that amnesty initiatives for former members of such groups contribute significantly to fostering peace and stability in our nation," states the PNP, emphasizing their dedication to safeguarding citizens and supporting initiatives that promote lawful reintegration.
Similarly, the AFP welcomes the grant of amnesty to members of various groups, including the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF), emphasizing that this step is crucial in ending armed conflicts and achieving lasting peace.
