Phoenix Upsets Converge as Serrano hits Career High Points

In a stunning upset, Encho Serrano led the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters to a 106-103 victory over the favored Converge team in the PBA Governors Cup.
Serrano's career-high 28 points, all scored in the second half, helped lift his team to their first back-to-back wins in the conference, keeping their playoff hopes alive with a 3-5 record.
Serrano's clutch performance included the go-ahead basket in the final 18.7 seconds, securing the Fuel Masters' victory and putting a damper on Converge's bid to land a spot among the top four teams, which would have given them a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.
Now tied for third place with idle NLEX, Converge needs to win at least one of their remaining two elimination round matches against Meralco and Barangay Ginebra to have a shot at one of the coveted playoff slots.
