PLDT Defeats Army

In a thrilling match, PLDT High Speed Hitters showed their mettle and emerged victorious against Army-Black Mamba in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Thursday night. The match was played at Philsports Arena, and PLDT won in straight sets, with scores of 25-19, 25-12, and 25-21.
The win was a significant comeback for PLDT after their opening day loss. Mean Mendrez was the top scorer for PLDT, with 11 points, including nine successful attacks and two blocks.
Dell Palomata also played a vital role in the team's success, contributing nine points, including two blocks. Jovie Prado, the team's middle blocker, was another standout player, with nine points, 12 excellent digs, and 12 receptions.
Kath Arado and Rhea Dimaculangan also played exceptionally well for PLDT, with Arado collecting 33 excellent digs and 14 excellent receptions, while Dimaculangan contributed 18 excellent sets, two aces, and one attack.
