Congressman Joey Salceda posted on his Facebook page the first possible images of the missing plane which went missing February 18 in Bicol.
“Suspected fuselage of the missing Cessna plane in the slopes of Mayon volcano,” he said.
In a bid to rescue the passengers of the Cessna aircraft, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) activated its Emergency Operations Center. The incident management team held a meeting on February 19, 2023, at 5:30AM to discuss the progress of search and rescue operations.
The Incident Command Post (ICP) at Brgy. Anoling was established at 6:00AM. The status of the priority area was reported to be visible, and drones were set to be administered to further survey the area at 6:35AM. At 7:19AM, a meeting was held to assault the Search and Rescue team to the priority area and the alleged spotted area of Brgy. Anoling.
Responders were deployed in critical areas. 218 personnel, 34 vehicles, 11 drones, and 4 K9 dogs were reported to have been deployed to assist in the search and rescue operations.
