Power Outage in NAIA 3 Causes Flight Delays

In the early morning hours of May 1, 2023, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 experienced a power outage, causing inconvenience to many passengers. The outage occurred at approximately 1:05 AM and affected the computer systems of airlines and Immigration.

Despite the power outage, the standby power supply was able to partially provide electricity to critical facilities, allowing for some of the computer systems to function. However, the outage caused delayed flights.

Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest flight information by contacting the NAIA flight information numbers for each terminal:

The MIAA Management assures passengers that they are doing everything in their power to resolve the situation as soon as possible and minimize any further inconvenience.

Cancelation of Domestic Flights

As of 12:30 PM today, May 1, 2023, Cebu Pacific has released a statement stating that the cancellation of 23 domestic flights was due to a power outage that affected their systems, making it impossible to continue with the scheduled flights.

Passengers affected by the cancellations were advised to contact Cebu Pacific's customer service to rebook their flights or to arrange for a refund.

The affected flights were as follows:

5J 325/326 Manila-Daraga-Manila
5J 383/384 Manila-Cagayan-Manila
5J 196/197 Manila-Cauayan-Manila
5J 703/704 Manila-Dipolog-Manila
5J 637/638 Manila-Puerto Princesa-Manila
5J 911/912 Manila-Caticlan-Manila
5J 553/554 Manila-Cebu-Manila
5J 617/618 Manila-Panglao-Manila
5J 483/484 Manila-Bacolod-Manila
5J 951/952 Manila-Davao-Manila
5J 793/794 Manila-Butuan-Manila
5J 859/860 Manila-Zamboanga-Manila

Cebu Pacific also added that they will be operating an additional flight, 5J 391/392, from Manila to Cagayan and vice versa.

The airline apologized for any inconvenience the cancellations may cause and assured passengers that they are working on resolving the issue as soon as possible.
