Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is set to make history this season by hosting not one, but two All-Filipino Conferences within a single year.

The first-ever opening playdate, scheduled for October 15 at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum, will feature a clash between two sister teams, Creamline and Choco Mucho at 7 p.m.

Defending champions Creamline, fresh from their triumph last March, are gearing up for a spirited battle against Choco Mucho.

However, Creamline will have to face this challenge without their ace playmaker Jia de Guzman, who recently joined Denson Airybees in the V.League in Japan. Despite this setback, Creamline is not short on firepower, with Kyle Negrito taking charge alongside formidable hitters Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Alyssa Valdez, Ced Domingo, and Michelle Gumabao.

Choco Mucho, on the other hand, is poised to give Creamline a run for their money. Led by the energetic Sisi Rondina and supported by players like Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, Des Cheng, Isa Molde, Bea de Leon, and Aduka Ogunsanya, Choco Mucho is determined to make their mark in this highly-anticipated sister team showdown.

Adding to the excitement, two new teams, Nxled and Gerflor, are set to make their PVL debuts.

Nxled Chameleons, led by setter Camille Kal and a formidable lineup of hitters including Lycha Ebon, Chiara Permentilla, and Jhoana Maraguinot, are gearing up to face Gerflor Defenders in the 3 p.m. opener. Gerflor, featuring players like Janine Navarro, Rapril Aguilar, Justine Dorog, Alyssa Bertolano, and Angelie Jingco, is determined to prove their mettle after their debut in the last Invitational Conference.

Apart from the Creamline vs. Choco Mucho showdown and the Nxled vs. Gerflor opener, fans can look forward to intense clashes between PLDT and Cignal at 5 p.m., Chery Tiggo against Farm Fresh at 3 p.m., F2 Logistics facing off against Akari at 5 p.m., and Petro Gazz squaring off with Galeries at 7 p.m.

The PVL has adopted a single round-robin format for the eliminations. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, with the first and second-ranked squads taking on the third and fourth-placed teams, respectively, in best-of-three series. The ultimate victors will battle it out in a best-of-three playoff to claim the championship.
