President To Enact PhP5.76-Trillion National Budget This Week

Speaker Martin Romualdez has announced that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is poised to sign the PhP5.76-trillion 2024 national budget into law this week. Speaking to reporters in Tokyo on Monday, Romualdez indicated that the signing is likely scheduled for Wednesday.
Romualdez emphasized that President Marcos is keen on signing the budget before departing for Japan. However, he clarified that certain printing requirements must be fulfilled before the President can affix his signature to the national outlay document.
President Marcos, having successfully participated in the 50th Commemorative of the ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Summit, is expected to return to Manila from Japan on Monday.
