President Vows Swift Justice For Broadcaster Jumalon

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has condemned the heinous murder of beloved broadcaster Juan Jumalon.

The President has directed the Philippine National Police (PNP) to initiate a comprehensive investigation aimed at bringing the culprits to justice.

President Marcos expressed his unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of democracy and the importance of a free press, stating, "Attacks on journalists will not be tolerated in our democracy, and those who threaten the freedom of the press will face the full consequences of their actions."

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) has joined the call for justice with a resounding message: "JUSTICE FOR JUAN JUMALON! STOP KILLING JOURNALISTS! END IMPUNITY!"

The NUJP has scheduled a rally on November 5, 2023, at 6 PM, at the Commission on Human Rights in Quezon City.
