Price Rollback for Fuel but LPG to Increase on May 2, 2023

Petron, one of the leading oil companies in the Philippines, has announced that they will implement a price rollback for their fuel products starting at 6:00 AM on May 2, 2023. According to their statement, the prices of gasoline will be decreased by P1.50 per liter, diesel by P1.30 per liter, and kerosene by P1.40 per liter.
The company stated that these adjustments reflect movements in the international oil market. Petron also noted that they remain committed to providing high-quality fuel products at competitive prices to their customers.
Other major oil companies in the country have also announced similar price adjustments. Flying V will implement a P1.50 per liter rollback for gasoline, P1.30 per liter rollback for diesel, and P1.40 per liter rollback for kerosene. Phoenix Petroleum Philippines will decrease the prices of gasoline by P1.50 per liter and diesel by P1.30 per liter. Petro Gazz will implement a P1.30 per liter rollback for diesel and a P1.50 per liter rollback for gasoline.
Caltex will decrease the prices of platinum and silver by P1.50 per liter, diesel by P1.30 per liter, and kerosene by P1.40 per liter. Pilipinas Shell will also implement a rollback for their fuel products with a P1.50 per liter rollback for gasoline, P1.40 per liter rollback for kerosene, and P1.30 per liter rollback for diesel.
Jetti will decrease the prices of their fuel products, with a P1.50 per liter rollback for Accelrate and JX Premium gasoline and a P1.30 per liter rollback for Dieselmasters. Clean Fuel will implement a P1.50 per liter rollback for gasoline and a P1.30 per liter rollback for diesel. Seaoil will also decrease the prices of their fuel products, with a P1.50 per liter rollback for gasoline, P1.30 per liter rollback for diesel, and P1.40 per liter rollback for kerosene.
LPG Prices
Meanwhile, Phoenix LPG Phils., Inc., Solane, and Petron have issued advisories regarding the increase in the prices of their LPG products.
According to the advisory released by Phoenix LPG Phils., Inc., the company will increase the prices of Phoenix Super LPG by P0.85 per kilogram and Auto LPG by P0.48 per liter effective 1201AM of 01 May 2023.
Meanwhile, Solane has also announced an increase in its LPG prices by Php0.82/kg VAT inclusive, effective May 1, 2023, at 6AM.
Petron has also followed suit, implementing a P0.85/kg (VAT-incl) increase in LPG prices effective 0600H May 1, with AutoLPG prices increasing by P0.48/li at the same time.
The increase in prices of LPG products will impact households, restaurants, and other industries that use LPG as their primary source of fuel. The rise in prices may cause a significant impact on the household budget, as LPG is widely used for cooking purposes in many households.
