Private Plane with 4 Passengers Missing in Bicol

Airport Management authorities have issued an alert to all municipalities in the Bicol region to be on the lookout for a private plane with callsign RPC 2080 and aircraft type C340 that departed Bicol Airport at 6:43 a.m. Saturday, February 18.

According to reports, the plane was last in contact passing 2600 feet at the Camalig Cement Plant at around 6:48 a.m. The pilot was instructed to report 20 miles out of Bicol Airport, but after several minutes, there was no response from the plane.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Control Tower has been notified and can be contacted at +63 945 104 0774 for any information or updates.

The private plane was reportedly carrying four passengers, and authorities are urging the public to report any sightings or information that may be relevant to the situation.

In response to the situation, the local government has activated the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and is relaying the message to all Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs) to be on high alert and report any relevant information immediately.
