PSEi Closes Higher Tuesday Feb. 15

The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closed higher on Tuesday, February 15, 2023. The benchmark index gained 30.85 points or 0.45 percent to finish at 6,822.09.
The PSEi's gain was led by the financials sector, which rose by .75 percent, while the industrial sector and holding firms indexes also posted gains at .19 percent each.
However, the services together with the mining and oil sector ended the day in the red, dropping to -1.24 percent and -.76 percent.
Trading volume for the day was 1.09 billion shares, valued at ₱5.26 billion. Net foreign buying for the day amounted to ₱143.88 million, with foreign investors buying ₱2.43 billion and selling ₱2.28 billion worth of shares.
The PSEi's gain was led by the financials sector, which rose by .75 percent, while the industrial sector and holding firms indexes also posted gains at .19 percent each.
