Reggae Singer Kokoi Baldo Killed In Truck Accident

Early in the morning of December 8,2023 at 1:00 AM, renowned Reggae singer Kokoi Baldo, also known as Juan Manuel Baldo, aged 44, lost his life after being struck by a truck in Bacolod.

The news was confirmed through a post on Kokoi Baldo's official Facebook page. The post reads, "It is with a heavy heart to inform the public, especially the fans, that Kokoi Baldo has passed away earlier this morning. We kindly ask for privacy during this hard time in respect to his family and friends. He will be missed, loved, and forever in our hearts. 馃挃馃槬馃挏 If there will be any updates, it will be posted here. Thank you all for your understanding. - Manager Sam."

In a subsequent post, Ms. Sam appealed for privacy, stating, "I am humbly asking everyone to take down the posts pertaining to my husband, Kokoi Baldo's accident scene as it is already causing distress to our entire family. If you see any posts of the said accident, please ask the owner of the post to delete. Thank you for understanding. - Ms. Sam."

Kokoi Baldo rose to fame as one of the contestants on 'The Voice of The Philippines' in 2014, leaving a lasting impact with his unique style of singing reggae songs, notably "One day." His untimely demise has left a void in the music industry, and he will be remembered for his contribution to the reggae genre.
