Renowned singer Ricky Martin and his husband Jwan Yosef have announced their decision to end their marriage.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, expressed their intentions to separate amicably, with a focus on maintaining a healthy family dynamic for the sake of their children.

"For some time, we have considered transforming our relationship, and it is after careful consideration that we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children - preserving and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all of these wonderful years," the statement read.

Martin and Yosef emphasized their commitment to continuing the joint upbringing of their children.

The couple has twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, who were born in 2008, and a daughter named Lucia, whom they welcomed via surrogacy in 2018.

"Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on our genuine friendship as we continue the joint upbringing of our children," they expressed in the statement.

Martin and Yosef also expressed their gratitude for the love and support they have received from their fans and the public throughout their marriage.

They affirmed that they remain united in nurturing this new chapter of their lives.
