SC Asks VP, Others To Comment On Petition Against P125 M Confidential Funds

The Supreme Court, in a Resolution dated November 14, 2023, has mandated Vice President Sara Duterte, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, and DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, among others, to provide comments on a petition for certiorari filed against the P125 million confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President in 2022.
The Court, acting on G.R. No. 269964, instructed the respondents to submit their comments within 10 days. Additionally, the petitioners are required to comply with the submission of an electronic copy of the petition and its annexes within five days.
The Court emphasized adherence to the Revised Guidelines on Submission of Electronic Copies of Supreme Court-bound Papers. Notably, Justice Inting is on official leave, and Justice Singh is on official business.
