"Senior Agila" and several members of the Socorro Bayanihan Services, Inc. find themselves detained following their appearance in the Senate.

Jay Rence Quilario, also known as Senior Agila, the leader of the Socorro Bayanihan Services Inc. was detained as senators were not convinced by his testimony during the Senate Committee on Public Order investigation.

Other individuals, namely Mamerto Galanida, Janet Ahon, and Karen Sanico, also faced detention in connection to the ongoing inquiry.

Multiple witnesses have come forward with allegations of child marriage incidents in Kapihan, where Senior Agila resides, despite vehement denials from the accused.

During the recent revelations, former cult members disclosed that Senior Agila appeared to possess extraordinary powers, such as making a bird sing or stopping the rain, echoing allegations of cult-like activities.

Senator Bato Dela Rosa was among those who questioned the accused during the proceedings.

A photograph featuring armed men was presented during the hearing, which Senior Agila promptly denied, asserting that the items in question were not weapons but rather wooden objects.

Senator Bato Dela Rosa hinted at the potential involvement of a higher-ranking individual within the group, suggesting a deeper conspiracy.

The committee is set to conduct the next hearing in Socorro, Surigao del Norte.
