Megastar Sharon Cuneta recently took to Instagram to provide her fans with an update on her health. She disclosed that she had undergone a nasal endoscopy procedure to treat her clogged nose.

In her post, she revealed that she had visited her doctor at St. Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) the previous day.

She said that the doctor had inserted a camera into her nose and mouth, revealing severe congestion in her nasal passage and significant swelling in her throat, which was on the verge of infection.

Cuneta admitted that she had become accustomed to the feeling of a blocked nose and an uncomfortable throat, often failing to recognize the severity of the situation.

She attributed these symptoms to the constant exposure to extreme temperatures while shooting her latest project, where she had to endure both scorching heat and heavy rainfall.

The actress also mentioned that she had experienced a peculiar throat condition before her guest appearance on the television show E.A.T. TVJ, which had left her voice completely strained and unable to perform her requested song, including the famous line from "Bituing Walang Ningning."

Following her examination, the doctor recommended a week-long rest for her voice, as well as a regimen of medication to address the congestion, swelling, and acid reflux.

The physician attributed these health issues to a combination of fatigue and stress, particularly from external sources.

Cuneta took the opportunity to express her gratitude to those who have been contributing to her stress levels, humorously remarking that she had already handed them over to a higher power, thanking God for intervening.

The actress also expressed her longing for the set and her beloved colleagues, from director Nuel Naval to co-star Jackie Lou Blanco and Alden Richards.

Fans and well-wishers flooded the comment section of Cuneta's Instagram post, offering words of encouragement, support, and wishing her a speedy recovery.
