In a flurry of recent signings within the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), Shola Alvarez, former bench stalwart for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, has inked a deal with Galeries, marking a significant move in her volleyball career.

Alvarez, who spent almost two years with the Cargo Movers, played a crucial support role off the bench, providing depth behind notable players like Myla Pablo, Ara Galang, and Jolina Dela Cruz. Despite her limited playing time, Alvarez showcased her skills and versatility during her tenure with the team.

Prior to her stint with F2 Logistics, the former NCAA MVP had previously played for Tacloban and PLDT, gaining valuable experience and contributing to different teams in the league.

With the recent high-profile signings, including Dawn Macandili, Ara Galang, and Aby Marano to Chery Tiggo, Majoy Baron, Kianna Dy, and Kim Fajardo to PLDT, Mars Alba to Choco Mucho, and Jovelyn Fernandez to Cignal, Alvarez stands as one of the few remaining Cargo Movers available for free agency.

In a strategic move to strengthen their roster, Galeries also secured the services of opposite hitter France Ronquillo and setter Renee Mabilangan. Ronquillo, a former player for Chery Tiggo, and Mabilangan, who previously served as a reserve player for NU, bring additional firepower and playmaking abilities to the Galeries squad.
