Shooting Incident At Taguig CPS Office Leaves Police Officers Injured

A shooting occurred today, August 7, 2023 at approximately 11:30 AM inside the Office of the Community Affairs Section (CAS), situated at the Headquarters of the Taguig City Police Station (CPS) in the City Hall Compound on Gen. Luna St., Brgy. Tuktukan. The incident involved PNP personnel, resulting in injuries to three officers.

The personnel involved in the incident were identified as PEMS Heriberto Saguiped, PCMS Alraquib P Aguel, and PCpl Alison Sindac. All three are assigned to the CAS, Taguig CPS.
According to initial investigations, the shooting transpired following a heated argument between PCMS Alraquib P Aguel and PEMS Heriberto Saguiped, who had engaged in a discussion upon Aguel's arrival at their office. The situation escalated, and PCpl Alison Sindac attempted to pacify the quarrel, but her efforts were in vain as the altercation culminated in a tragic shooting incident.

Fortunately, quick response personnel immediately rushed the injured officers to the nearby MCT hospital for medical attention. The extent of their injuries has yet to be disclosed.

An official written report is expected to follow, shedding more light on the details of the incident. Among the witnesses to the event was Nestor San Diego, an LGU personnel of Taguig City detailed at CAS, Taguig CPS.

In the meantime, the police authorities are looking into the factors that led to the altercation and the circumstances surrounding the use of firearms within the confines of their office premises.
The Incident Officer-in-Charge (IOC) overseeing the case is PEMS Darwin Allas, along with the assistance of PEMS Elmer Villar and PSSg Willy Galauran. Further updates on the matter will be released as the investigation progresses.
