Tropical Depression "Amang" continues to linger over the Lagonoy Gulf, with its center estimated at 10:00 AM to be located based on all available data, including those from the Daet Doppler Weather Radar, over the coastal waters of Caramoan, Camarines Sur, at 13.6°N and 123.9°E. The tropical depression has maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, with gustiness of up to 55 km/h and a central pressure of 1004 hPa.

Presently, "Amang" is slowly moving northwestward, and strong winds extend outward up to 200 km from the center. As a result, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1, indicating a threat of strong winds in certain areas. The TCWS No. 1 has a warning lead time of 36 hours, with a range of wind speeds expected to be between 39 to 61 km/h (Beaufort 6 to 7). The potential impacts of the winds are minimal to minor threats to life and property.

Areas currently under TCWS No. 1 include Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Burias Island, Ticao Island, Laguna, Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija. This includes several cities and municipalities in these provinces, such as Tayabas, Pitogo, San Andres, Calauag, Infanta, Gumaca, Atimonan, San Narciso, and Tagkawayan, among others.

In terms of rainfall, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Quezon are expected to receive 50-100 mm of accumulated rainfall within the next 24 hours, while CALABARZON, Metro Manila, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and the southern portion of Aurora are forecasted to receive the same amount of rainfall within the next 3 days. This may cause isolated flash floods and rain-induced landslides, particularly in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards, as identified in hazard maps, and in localities that have experienced considerable rainfall in recent days.

Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to take precautionary measures as moderate to rough seas, ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 meters, may be experienced over the eastern and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon, as well as the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, within the next 24 hours.

PAGASA also notes that "Amang" is forecasted to track generally northwestward in the next 12 hours, passing over the eastern localities of Camarines Sur, Lamon Bay, and Quezon, with the possibility of passing near or over the Polillo Islands. However, due to the weak and disorganized nature of the depression, considerable changes in the track forecast in succeeding bulletins are possible. It is also expected to weaken into a low pressure area by tomorrow or possibly earlier, due to land interaction, dry air intrusion, and increasing vertical wind shear.

In light of these developments, PAGASA advises the public and concerned disaster risk reduction and management offices to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Residents living in areas identified as highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are urged to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials.
