SMNI's Lorraine Badoy and Eric Celiz have initiated a hunger strike to protest their detention. Badoy, known for her stance against the CPP NPA NDF, emphasized her concern as a mother, highlighting the dangers posed to the youth by alleged recruiters within Congress.

During a recent committee hearing, Badoy expressed her astonishment at being questioned about her stance against the CPP NPA NDF. In a statement, she revealed the core of her commitment, stating, "I am a mother," echoing her deep concern for the lives of countless children deceived by alleged CPP NPA NDF fronts.

Meanwhile, Eric Celiz, alongside Badoy, issued a statement revealing their relocation to the South Facility Building, adjacent to the South Gate of Batasan Complex.

Both are enduring what they claim to be an illegal detention orchestrated by the House Committee on Legal Franchises, allegedly influenced by the de facto president, Martin "T" Romualdez.

Celiz denounced the Romualdez CPP-NPA-NDF mini coalition inside the House of Representatives, accusing it of violating constitutional rights in pursuit of a political vendetta.

They are now entering the second day of their hunger strike.
