The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the 24-hour public weather forecast for various regions in the Philippines, indicating the weather conditions and potential impacts.

According to the latest bulletin issued at 4:00 p.m. today, a southwesterly windflow is affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Additionally, a tropical cyclone named Super Typhoon Mawar was located approximately 1,725 kilometers east of Central Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 265 km/h. The typhoon is moving west northwestward at a speed of 25 km/h.

Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, and BARMM are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the southwesterly windflow.

Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions as moderate to heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also influenced by the southwesterly windflow and localized thunderstorms.

The eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas can expect moderate wind speeds blowing from the northeast to northwest. Coastal waters in this area will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 meters.

Mindanao and Palawan will experience light to moderate wind speeds originating from the southwest to west. Coastal waters in these regions will be slightly to moderately choppy, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

For the rest of Luzon and Visayas, wind speeds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to northwest. Coastal waters in these areas will be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

PAGASA advises fishermen and seafarers to exercise caution, especially those with small boats, due to the moderate to rough seas caused by the prevailing weather conditions.

The public is urged to stay updated on the latest weather advisories and follow the guidance of local authorities. It is essential to be prepared and take necessary precautions to ensure personal safety and minimize potential damage caused by the inclement weather.
